I went to Perth on Wednesday, flew form Sydney in the morning and landed just after lunch. I stayed at my sisters for the 3 days I was to be in Perth. We had a lovely time.
Although she is not the fan I am.
It was a lonely 3 Jovi days. Each time I mentioned either Jon, the band or the concert I was quickly put in my place. So in the end I just said nothing.
So needless to say next time ( I hope there is a next time) they come here I will not be going with my sister.
The concert was just as good as the first one. I love the way it changes each time, but I also love the things that are the same. I am a sucker when it comes to Jon Bon Jovi and he sucked me in each time he smiled that devilishly handsome smile. Or did that gyrating thing he does (too much info I know). The songs, the atmosphere, the quality of the show were all above and beyond what I had hoped for.
The only thing that would have topped it off would have been if I were in the first few rows. But we did have good enough seats and I was able to watch the guys (Mostly Jon) all night instead of the sight screen. So that made me very happy. They were the closest seats I had during the whole Australian Tour. I wasn't even allowed to move forward to take a close up photo. But thanks to zoom lenses I have a few from Sydney.
I do have many wonderful memories, and my friend Wendy, who came with me to Melbourne and Sydney made me a beautiful plaque with photos she took to hang on my wall along with one of the Jerseys. I will take a photo and send it to you once its all done and looks nice. I will be getting the signed Jersey professionally framed and hanging it on my wall along with the other memorabilia that I have from the concerts. The signature is starting to fade now though as it has been washed a few times. I think it should still be alright. Before I hang it I will be writing 'Melbourne, Sydney, Perth 2008'. So once its up it should look great.
