I have probably put this in the wrong spot so if i have please forgive me and feel free to move it to where it goes.
Ok now its time for the report. I'm sorry its long
The concert was last night I have hardly slept and I have just got home from the airport. So please forgive me if I ramble on.
The venue was the most awful place.
Melbourne is the most awful place.
If I never have to go back there it will be too soon.
It rained almost the whole time, we had to stand on a sloping ground of dirt and mud - in the rain for hours while we waited for it to start.
We are so spoilt here in Sydney, we have a very lovely stadium, seated and covered --- no mud and no rain. Which is where they will be on Monday and Tuesday. As you know I am going to 3 of the 4 concerts they are doing here, but my girlfriend I went down to Melbourne with yesterday wants to go again so we are looking on EBay as I type to look for tickets to Tuesday. We need just one more
The support band was one of the local Melbourne bands that won a competition to support Bon Jovi, I guess they did their best considering the enormity of the task they took on. But for the life of me I can't remember who they were.
Then shortly after they left the stage and the rain stopped the Boys came out.
Wow is all I can say.
Miraculously my feet stopped hurting, the mud on my brand new shoes no longer mattered and who really cared if the rain came down and wet my soul jersey. It could have snowed and I wouldn't have cared.
It was by far the absolute best concert I have ever been to in my entire life. It is illegal to be that good looking at his age. The performance was faultless. Never have I been to a concert that has left me so satisfied yet still wanting more. I loved it, every minute of it. I have spent almost $3000 AUD on these 3 concerts and every cent has been worth it. ---- thank goodness I still have 2 (or maybe 3) to go.
Obviously they are true performers. Jon knows how to work the crowd, particularly the women. He is such a flirt, I wonder how his wife feels about that . A very gifted and talented man, which is why we all love him. I for one was absolutely mesmerised and entertained the whole time. The songs were performed to perfection. With a fantastic mixture of old and new songs. I think even Jon was surprised by the crowds response. At times it was hard for us to hear Jon sing as we were all singing so loudly. They didn't sing 'Everyday', but hopefully they will in either Sydney or Perth. Everything I have heard was absolutely true. I hope never to come down from this Jovi high.
I could go into how many shirt changes Jon had or how hot and sweaty he got, but I will spare you Actually no I won't. He changed his shirt 3 times and each time it was wet from his sweat, as he danced the sweat droplets would fly --- how i longed to be one of those girls in the front row!!!
Richie looked awesome and performed 'I'll be there for you' to perfection.
I wore my soul jersey proudly, I saw just one other, But hers wasn't signed
It was the best night, and I had so much fun, it rates almost as high as my wedding and the births of my children as one of the highlights of my life.
My doctor would have been very upset with me. I saw him on Friday afternoon and he gave me the all clear, I have no cancer cells or lymph problems but he told me I wasn't allowed to sing at the concerts or yell as I need to give my throat time to heal properly from the surgery, So I was a very good girl. I didn't sing or yell. I SCREAMED lol
Well, that's enough of that It was brilliant, fantastic, wonderful -- I could go on forever.
Best concert ever
