Well, ladies, I know we all love the music our boys play, but I was wondering if there are any other rock lyricists out there? See, I take singing lessons and, well, I'm actually pretty good. The last performance I did sent a whole heap of blues musicians scrambling for new rock songs (I suggested a couple of Jovi tracks, tee hee!).
But I write music as well, so I thought, well, we could share some of our writing talent here. It's not fan fiction, this is actually stuff I'm working on and recording. Have to say, though... the boys are EXCELLENT muses! ^_^
Anyway, right now I'm working on this one that was inspired by Richie (don't worry, I have more than a few inspired by Jon!):
My baby's got those wonderland eyes
I know he's crazy but to me he's making sense
Contradiction incarnate
He makes me wanna take
The insanity defence

Gotta hold on now
Oh, oh
'Cause my feet don't touch the ground

He's got me screaming
Trail blazing
Heat fading as we flash outta sight
A bolt of lightning in the middle of the night
Mama tells me he's wrong, but I know he's oh so right
My bolt of lightning (lightning)
In the middle of the night
My baby's got that devilish Cheshire cat smile
And time is wasting
------------------------ (because that's all I have of that one)
Now, here's my favourite one inspired by Jon (It's called I Breathe)
There's no air in here
Can't cut through the atmosphere
Paralysed with fear
And then I breathe...

While you watch me stare

One breath, one word and I'm gone
I could have said it but it would take too long
A blaze across the stars and I'm through
One moment takes forever, I can't wait

Hands jammed over my ears

I just wanna get out of here

But they're holding up my heart
Precarious suspension, you're good at that
I walked the tightrope once before
I won't walk it any more
I bought it then, now take it back.
