Okay I was sitting here listening to Hair Nation and found out Guns and Roses is nominated for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ....... forgive me any G and R fans(I do like them) but I found out too Jovi isn't even nominated this year!! Can I say WTF!!! they are nominated one year then not ...... HELLO!! WHAT DOES JOVI HAVE TO DO TO GET IN ..... WHO DO THEY HAVE TO SCREW ?? Because apparently their talent and longevitity isn't enough for those assholes or the fact the have sold out shows for how many years NOW!
I am so freaking pissed I had to vent, could say more but it might really get ugly!!!
just remember, they above all have never been the critic's darlings and they know it. Doesn't mean though that we fans aren't pissed... ((cuz we are)) crap like hall of fame, grammies etc so on is supposed to be about the fans say.. or so you think. But sometimes i wonder who is paying off who to get the winners they all get.
GnR bah..loved their early stuff, but Axl went nuts ((sorta?)) no offense to the GnR fans
as to the rest of the noms?
The complete list:
· Beastie Boys
· The Cure
· Eric B. & Rakim ((uh again I say WHO?))
· Guns 'N Roses
· Joan Jett and The Blackhearts
· Freddie King
· Laura Nyro
· Red Hot Chili Peppers
· Rufus with Chaka Khan
· The Small Faces/The Faces ((again I say uhhh who?))
· The Spinners
· Donna Summer
I mean okay.. i recognise some .. and they were big back in the day.. but how many still have VIABLE careers in music?
I guess persistence and keeping up to date arent to be rewarded... its to be ignored.. and if this is what the RnR hall of fame is.. then they aren't anything but shit....

No they haven't but its just wrong not to give them credit where its deserved regardless how they personally feel about them... GRRRRRRRRRRR I am so so pissed I will be 100 before they ever make it in and may not even then ..

Okay, yeah, ticked off that the boys aren't on the list. But I applaud the inclusion of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. They represent a strong female presence in a mostly male dominated industry. Plus I love their music. The list isn't bad, but it would be improved with Jovi.
